Born and educated in France, Dr. Philippe Cotten (COEC 4317)trained for over 10 years with Dr. Gérard Scortecci, inventor of the Diskimplants®, learning the lateral osteotomy technique for basal implant placement which represents an alternative to bone grafting in oral implantology. During the same period, he participated in numerous private courses and postgraduate university programs (Implantology, Basal Implantology, Occlusodontology, Legal Odontology, Expert Appraisal, Corporal Damage Assessment, Deontology, Legal Odontology and Ethics). Dr Cotten is president of the ICIES (Implantoral Club Internacional España) which organized the first International Congress of Basal Implant and Osteointegration in Barcelona Spain the 1st and 2nd of May 2008.
. The Basal Implantology has been presented by Dr Cotten in Brazil, Mexico, Colomby, Costa-Rica, Israël and France and his articles are regularly published in the international professional press.
